About Us

Governance and Support Gävle is responsible for the strategic development at an overarching level close to politics. Our employees work with the whole and coordinate the work that is common to all sectors within Gävle municipality. Together we make Gävle sustainable and developing!

Within the area of Digitalization, we are a total of about 30 people, divided into three areas; Method Support, Business Development and Digital Services, and Web and Production. Within the area, we work together to take advantage of digitalization opportunities and develop Gävle municipality's operations. We work with everything from the development of digital services to change management, communication support, project management, process development, service design, and managing method support. Technical system solutions and automation of processes are also included.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Do you want to support development and digitalization within Gävle municipality? We are looking for a driven and engaged business developer who will work on developing value-creating and user-friendly e-services for both the municipality's employees and our residents.

You will be part of a group with other business developers who work broadly on various areas within digitalization and business development. We work across the municipality based on our users' needs and to meet the challenges within the public sector.

In your role as a business developer focusing on e-services, you will work both to digitize existing processes and to support the organization in finding new processes and ways of working. You will work closely with different parts of the organization to understand their needs and challenges and translate these insights into practical solutions.

Your assignment ranges from needs to realization - from listening to and analyzing the organization's needs and wishes, to sketching solutions, developing, and then deploying the finished e-services in our e-service platform Open ePlatform.

You will work both collaboratively with others and independently, on large and small assignments.

The role also includes managing existing e-services together with your colleagues and ensuring their continuous improvement and functionality.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with a higher education/university degree relevant to the position or work experience that the employer deems relevant to the tasks. You have work experience in driving and/or actively participating in development or change work.

To succeed and thrive in the role, you need to have a good understanding of systems and experience working with digital tools. You are interested in technology and innovation and enjoy constantly learning new techniques and skills that help you grow in your role as a business developer with us. You will receive training in and become proficient in our technical system support Open ePlatform! If you have previously worked with the development and management of e-service solutions, preferably within the public sector, it is an advantage for the position.

You thrive in an analytical role where you are solution-oriented and can interpret and analyze needs as well as identify value-creating solutions.

You have the ability to plan and organize your work well and enjoy being in a role that allows you to take your own initiatives.

Furthermore, you work unpretentiously and have an easy time creating and maintaining good relationships. The role means that you will be in close contact with various operations within the municipality to understand them and their needs, which requires an interest in collaboration and a curious and service-oriented attitude.

In your work, you adapt your communication based on different situations, purposes, and recipients. You have good knowledge of the Swedish language in both speech and writing.
